Few words from CAFA President

The Canadian Academy of Floral Art is making some big steps in the right direction

It is said that lowers whisper what words cannot say...and when you unite this incredible medium to a worthy cause there is certainly power in the Bloom. 

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Academy of Floral Art I am please to inform you that,  together,  we are taking some very big steps in the new direction this year.  A direction and vision that will see the 2009 induction ceremonies travel to the Eastern Ontario region and take the form of a majestic gala entitled:  Pour l`amour de la fleur - For the Love of the Bloom.    

Signing sixteen years of floral excellence, this year the Academy will become a great social citizen and give back to those that have made each and everyone of us a success.  We are honored to associate ourselves with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation who will benefit from this wonderful undertaking.  This will be the event that will see flowers, fashion and art bring HOPE.    

We are thrilled to count on our entire Canadian Academy of Floral Art membership to make this event the most grandiose floral extravaganza Canada has yet to see.   The floral artists of the Academy will unite their knowledge and great expertise of floral art to bloom with success two floral fashion segments; one being Calendar girls and the second Canada Girls.   You will view Haute Floral Couture like never before.   

I look forward to bringing to the Ottawa-Outaouais region this spectacular endeavor that will see Canada’s floral masters blossom in fashion for breast cancer research.   Together let’s celebrate floral art at its finest.
